Bloglovin

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

You can now follow this blog on Bloglogin using the link above.

About Bloglovin

Reading blogs can be a pain in the ass. We created bloglovin´ so you wouldn’t have to visit un-updated blogs, open ten windows in your browser, or forget your favorite blogs' web-addresses. With bloglovin´, we wanted to make your blog-reading fun and easy.

Sounds sweet! How does it work?

Just add all the blogs you want to follow, and then you’ll get notified every time one of your favorite blogs has written a new blog post.

Why did you build bloglovin'?

We started building websites in a garage in Täby, Sweden, and before we started bloglovin´, we were working on our second failed web project: a fashion-community. To get feedback on that idea, we got help from three fashion-bloggers — one of them was Carolina Engman. Somewhere between discussions and coffee breaks, she checked if any of her favorite blogs had updated. So she picked up a laptop and started typing in their web-addresses. A bunch of new windows flew up in her web-browser. Some blogs were updated and others weren’t. It. Was. Chaos.
Here was an opportunity for improvement. Wouldn’t it be sweet if you had one site that notified you every time one of your favorite bloggers had written something new?
We scrapped the fashion-community and started over from scratch. Two weeks later, we had our first, somewhat rusty, version of bloglovin´ up and running. One week later, over 1000 people had signed up.
Sure, there were other blog readers out there, but they were technical, boring, and cluttered with features. We wanted to build something for the rest of us. For everyone who doesn't care about the technology behind it. For everyone who just wants things to work.

Bad Kitty Creative

I am proud to announce the launch of our brand new website and blog called, Bad Kitty Creative.  This is our parent company.  It focuses on everything creative and rediscovering a passion for creativity.

About:

This web site is dedicated to my desire to rediscover my passion for the arts and creativity in general.

I worked for 6 years as a professional Graphic Artist/Wed Designer.  I loved my job, every day was a new challenge and I got to do things that I never thought I would.  But as any designer will tell you when you work for someone else, your designs are not really your own.  I never realized that until I got laid off because of downsizing.  It was heart breaking to say the least.  I was so used to being told what to do and when to do it, that I become lost without that.  This new freedom has taken some getting used to.

A few years have passed since then and a lot has changed.  I worked off and on but my heart just wasn’t in it any more.  I have a new passion in life now, and that is being a loving wife and stay-at-home mom to my two little step-monsters.  My husband put together a little art area for me in the basement after I moved in, but it rarely gets used.

Awhile back I one of my little monsters asked me if we could start doing art for fun, and not just for school.  I said of course!  But the other day I was down in my art area and I realized that somewhere along the way, I forgot how to draw.

I guess I never realized how much I missed being creative until now.

American Bald Eagle

I saw on Facebook awhile back that 4 American Bald Eagles were found dead in Washington sate.  They were still looking for detail and honestly I hope they find the person or people responsible.  I think they are big beautiful creatures, and here are some shots that I took this summer of an American Bald Eagle.

Common Loon Baby

We went boating on a mission this weekend, there was rumor that the Loons on this one lake had been out with their baby.  Is a baby loon called a chick or a duckling?  Any way we found them.  The baby was so cute.  Late we were talking with a couple and they gave us the sad news that the loons had two babies but a neighbor saw them pushing it in the water trying to get it to swim but it was too late.  They weren't sure what had happened to it but they were very upset.  They were happy to see the photos of the surviving baby, they were worried something may have happened to it too.

Nature Blog Network

Northwoods Nature Blog is now a member of the Nature Blog Network.
Nature Blog Network
Welcome to the Nature Blog Network, a nexus for the very best nature blogs on the net. If you're looking for outstanding blogging about birds, bugs, plants, herps, hiking, oceans, ecosystems, or any other natural topic -- or if you blog on those topics yourself -- this is the place for you!
I listed it under Photography becuase it doesn't really fit into any other grouping right now.  Does it?  I plan to do nature videos too, but ther eis not 'video group'.
