Leaves left in Winter

Not all of the leaves managed to fall before the snow fell, these few have hung in there until the bitter end.

Snow Fall in Forest

The snow is melting now but these are a few shots from before it started to turn ito 'snirt' as my mother calls it.

Winter Forest Floor

A snowy shot looking up from the forest floor this winter.  It was a nice day for a walk in the woods a few weeks ago, you can't really tell in the photo but it was snowing a little that day.

I like to get low to the ground and shoot up toward the sky, I like that way the trees look against the blue.  The lack of leave allows for more light to get through.

Random snowy trees

These poor trees didn't stand a chance with all the snow we had this winter.  The branches on the bigger ones were very heavy with snow.

I love the way the sun look through the trees on a warm winter day.  I had so much fun taking these shots the other day.

These are just some random shot that I found interesting while walking in the woods.  I am really into close up and textures.

Wisconsin Forest in the winter

I went for a walk in the woods near my parents house and I took these while I was out.  The woods were quite and I didn't see any creatures.

A winter sunset.  I love the way the colors pop against the dark trees and snow.

American Bald Eagle

I saw on Facebook awhile back that 4 American Bald Eagles were found dead in Washington sate.  They were still looking for detail and honestly I hope they find the person or people responsible.  I think they are big beautiful creatures, and here are some shots that I took this summer of an American Bald Eagle.
