Animal tracks

I found these tracks in the mud along the lake, which was drained a little this fall to combat the over grown weeds.  I am not exactly sure what they are - possible more than one animal - but it hard to tell as the mud was very wet.

We got so close to this big guy while he was eating a fish - I may have to make a few posts about it.  Such a big beautiful bird.

Playing with Camera settings

I played around with the setting on my camera this weekend.  I was brave enough to finally move away from just using the 'Auto' setting.  I thought the Sepia tone setting was neat.  I probabaly won't use it too much since I have Photoshop and can always convert the color photos to Sepia later. :)

loon mother and child

The loon baby is growing!  I just love this picture that I got of the 'mother' and baby.  I say 'mother' because I am not 100% sure that it was the mother.  :)

The last time we saw the baby it looked like it was starting to lose it's baby feathers but I didn't get pictures of it.  Also I hope to be setting up a system to sell print for any for any that is interested.  But I have not had time yet with the holiday weekend - happy belated 4th by the way.

Baby Ducks and help id this animal

I had to share these, while boating we came across a mommy duck, we think it may have been a Wood Duck, and about six or so little baby ducks.  The mom kind of got separated from them but was trying to swim back to them as we went by.  I didn't get a very good shot of the mother, but here are the babies!  They are so cute.

Also while scouting for places to hang my new nature cam, we found this print.  It's not a wolf I know that, but I thought it was interesting.  My boyfriend said he thought it was a raccoon, but it doesn't seem long like a raccoon's print (i searched it on google)  You can see the claw marks and good friends on the DNR site say that raccoons, skunks, coyotes, foxes, and dogs will often leave claw marks.
